The CoMo 170&CoMo 300 portable high-sensitivity alpha beta surface contamination detector/alpha beta surface contamination measuring instrument is a powerful, adaptable, and scalable nuclear contamination safety detection tool launched by the German company SEA. The core detector adopts an improved new generation large-area plastic scintillator detector based on scintillators, which can simultaneously measure alpha, beta, and gamma rays and has automatic detection of alpha rays. It can be set to selectively measure alpha ray detection mode or beta/gamma ray detection mode. Compared with traditional alpha and beta large-area xenon chamber detectors, the new plastic scintillator detector has excellent sensitivity and responsiveness, and still has good detection and response performance for even extremely low-intensity radiation. At the same time, the new plastic scintillator detector does not require xenon gas filling, which greatly reduces the operating costs of the instrument and can effectively reduce the probability of mechanical failure of the detector, reducing maintenance costs in the later stage.
CoMo 170&CoMo 300 have complete nuclear radiation detection and analysis functions, and the operation of the instrument is very simple. SEA adopts micro control technology for them, and all measurement data and information during the operation process will be automatically switched and displayed on the instrument LCD screen in real time according to the current working mode of the operator. The pure text display operation mode allows even beginners who have not operated it to quickly get started. The basic system parameters and various limit values can be set quickly, and the operator can set multiple measurement mode parameters in advance according to actual needs for easy retrieval at any time during measurement.
CoMo 170&CoMo 300 also have powerful data analysis and processing capabilities, as well as comprehensive expansion capabilities. The instrument body is equipped with built-in storage flash memory, which can automatically or manually save 750 sets of measurement data. The front panel integrates an RS232 interface and an external probe interface. Through the RS232 interface, the operator can easily download the data from the body's memory to the computer for more advanced analysis and processing (PC software needs to be selected) At the same time, the instrument supports external dedicated on-site printing printers to quickly print measurement results on site. Through the external probe interface, a series of radiation dose rate probes, pipeline contamination measurement probes, or larger alpha and beta surface contamination detectors tailored by SEA for CoMo 170&CoMo 300 can be connected, which will greatly improve the adaptability of CoMo 170&CoMo 300 in various environments.
